Termination of Parental Rights

Overview

Generally, before a child can be adopted the parental rights of the biological parents must be terminated. Our lawyers have assisted hundreds of adoptive couples through the process of having the biological rights terminated in a legally and enforceable manner. Our lawyers have experience in handling the process of bringing a child back from another state through the Inter-State Compact (ICPC). They are knowledgeable and experienced with the Indian Child Welfare Act and the processes that must be followed if there is a question as to the whether the child has Indian heritage.
